Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy explains what Zorbo (https://www.zorbo.in/) collects, why, and the choices you have. Zorbo runs this website. [Add your business address in Zorbo Directory > Settings]

What we collect

  • Account information. If you create a business-owner account: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash), and whether your email is verified.
  • Forms you send. Contact, free listing and claim forms: the details you type, such as business name, phone number, island, category and your message.
  • Business page content. Text, opening hours, menus and images that an approved owner adds to a page.
  • Technical data. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is stored only as a one-way hash. Web server logs may record IP address, browser and pages visited for security.

Business listings

Business names, areas, phone numbers and map links shown in the directory come from public sources. If you own a business and want a listing corrected or removed, contact us and we will do it.

How we use information

To run the directory, show business pages, verify accounts by email code, review ownership claims, answer messages, protect the site from abuse and understand how it is used.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies that WordPress needs to keep you logged in. See our Cookie Policy.

We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or visit aboutads.info. More information: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ads load only after you accept them in our cookie notice.

Google services

Some pages can show a rating, opening hours and a photo from Google Maps through the Google Places API. Links to Google Maps open Google's own service, which has its own privacy policy.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to host the website and send email, and Google for the services described above. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and form data is kept while it is needed to run the directory or answer you, and then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to remove or correct a business listing. Write to admin@zorbo.in. We handle personal data in line with applicable law, including Indian law.

We protect accounts and forms with email verification, hashed passwords, request limits and other safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
